This research aims to analyze the potential of natural dye batik as a sustainable art education medium in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which has seven stages, from formulating research questions to concluding. Literature searches were conducted through Google Scholar and Scopus databases with keywords related to batik, natural dyes, SDGs, and education. The results of the study show that the integration of natural dye batik in art education can realize SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). This potential is supported by the ease of access to natural dye materials, cultural relevance, and its ability to foster environmental awareness and cultural values. However, challenges in the form of misconceptions in batik and the lack of a formal curriculum for natural dye batik need to be overcome immediately to optimize the implementation of sustainable art education.Downloads
