Abstract

The art of Drumblek is a musical art in the form of percussion that adopts  the Marching Band using traditional instruments whose musical instruments are made of blek.  This art grows and develops rapidly in the Salatiga area, starting from villages to cities and is played by all walks of life, especially the younger generation. This article will explain the creativity of the art of drumblek in the study of its form, function, and development. This research uses a qualitative method approach. The data collection technique was carried out by documentation studies, observations and interviews. The results of the study show that performances are presented in the form of displays or demonstrations. At the time of the parade it was accompanied by a fashion show. As for the performance, they always use costumes and props such as banners and vandels.  The songs used follow the trend that is popular in the community. The art of drumblek has an important role in the Salatiga society, not only as entertainment but also as a means of symbolizing cultural identity.  The development of Drumblek's art includes the development of fashion, and instruments that develop creatively and innovatively with the times without abandoning their traditional values.
