This study examines the potential utilization of Nylon and Polyester production waste as an alternative for innovative and sustainable products in the Cibaduyut Small and Medium Industries (SMI) center, Bandung. As a center for footwear and bag production, Cibaduyut produces significant amounts of material waste. This study uses a qualitative exploratory approach through observation of the production process, in-depth interviews with SMI owners and workers, and a literature review on recycling technology and sustainable design trends. The objectives are to identify the characteristics of Nylon and Polyester waste, explore opportunities for aesthetic and functional product design, and analyze its utilization's technical feasibility and economic potential. The study results are expected to produce an applicable and profitable waste utilization model for SMI Cibaduyut, while contributing to reducing environmental impacts, diversifying products, increasing income, and strengthening the image of being environmentally friendly. These findings also emphasize the importance of implementing circular economy principles in developing the SMI sector.Downloads
